Maria had always believed in marriage of love and happily ever after. Never had she thought about divorce or separation from her childhood friend turn hubby. Maria and Fred had always been friends, grew up together in the same neighborhood.

But things changed after their marriage. Fred is a business man, who believes so much in hard work. He is simply a workhaolic. He misses date and dinner often. And to make a marriage work, commitment has to be from both sides.

Maria loved this man and couldn’t turn her back on him; she had a girl child for him. And year after year, Maria and her little girl go on vacation, and celebrate Chrismas alone. Cassandra was five, when Maria thought she’s had enough.

She couldn’t go with her girl, after losing the custody suit to his rich and influential husband.

She married again after two years, and had four boys for her husband. However, she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her daughters’ picture on television. She was pronounced missing.

She nearly collapsed. Her ex-husband, Fred pulled all the string he could, but Cassandra was never found.

Maria, blamed herself for this, and blamed her ex-husband for not taking proper care of her, leaving her only daughter with a goddamn nanny.

Years after years, Maria waited but nothing happened, she believed her baby was lost to the world.

At exactly seventeen year after, Maria walked in to O’mara Kit and Accessories. She was looking through some vintage shirt for her boys when she spotted a pink atmosphere (brand) designer bag. It reminded her of Cassie’s cute and beautiful self.  She decided she would keep it.

Moving towards the bag, she nearly stomped on a young lady. Imagine! She also wants the bag. The two women stood for hours arguing who sighted it first. The store attendant tried to pacify both to let it go and checkout another product. But duo wouldn’t burg.

Angrily, Maria told her what the bag meant to her- the reminder of her lost treasure. And the young lady who was fighting so hard broke down into tears. She bent down on her hunch and told her the bag represents her lost family too. This moment was ‘it’ for the two as they walked hand in hand to a cafeteria nearby. Sitting face to face, reminiscing about the lost years…BLOSSOM INSPIRED
