We are dealing with a precarious issue that has generated National debate as to the legality and illegality of the said action, but BBC and western DemoCrazies are busy disturbing us with Aisha and her thong lashing husband's marital issue. Thanks to the gullibility of some National media outfits...
My respect for the respected Femi Falana and all other prominent and well meaning Nigerians who have come out to look at the reality without calling on the constitutionality of the Process. For those who are constitutionally responsible, your views though correct, does not work in every democracy, not even the countries supposedly practicing the so-called Democracy.
The respected USA broke international laws to kill Osama Bin Laden (As the claim), the world looked at Justification not Law. Judges have been arrested and prosecuted in many countries over issues of bribery, heaven did not fall. But in Nigeria, whenever an arrest is made, witch hunt, nepotism, political enemies, and synonymous terms begin to appear on Newspaper Feature Pages. Unfortunately, the first question of whether the person committed the said crime is never debated but the constitutionality of the arrest is always contested.
We do not see a Judge housing the money you can barely find in Branches of some bank as being a threat to National Security, but we prefer to support Judicial immunity and forget that the greatest democracies have honest judiciaries.
We do not question why a Revered Judge first put a call to a State Governor, when he can easily reach the CP of the state. We however prefer to challenge the DSS for assaulting a Governor even when the only visible evidence was a planned Narration by the supposed Governor. We all can remember when Amaechi was blocked from entering the Government house while being Governor of the State... EVIDENCE
The questions we should be asking now is, Where the said monies found? When did the Judges begin to house their own Bank?
Save me the constitutional talk, let us keep conceptualization of WARRANT to ourselves...
You go with a search warrant after getting a tip-off that someone was keeping arms in His house, do you arrest the person if the arms were found, or you just take away the arms and leave the person for later investigation?
Legality my FOOT...
