The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has said the Nigerian Air Force has concluded arrangement with Pakistan to procure ten new Super Trainer Aircraft for the training of student pilots.
The Air Force Chief disclosed this during the graduation ceremony of ten student pilots from the 301 Flying Training School, Air Force Base in Kaduna state.
Air Marshal Abubakar, while commending the graduating students for the impressive performance they exhibited in the induction training, noted that the nation looks upon to them as critical stakeholders in response to the national security imperatives.
He
emphasised that the Nigerian Air Force is steadily increasing the tempo of its
various operations in the fight against terrorism and other related
crimes across the country, while he maintains that Boko Haram has been largely
degraded to the extent that they longer carry out coordinated attacks in
communities.
The Air
Marshal is optimistic that the acquisition of more Trainer Aircraft will
enhance the quality of their training.
